Certification & Training
As an operator
The purpose behind certification is to help build your confidence in your ability to
properly operate the equipment in a safe maner and to provide an independant
means of communicating that level of ability to others, such as potential employers.
As a business owner
The purpose of certification is to help create a consistent level of knowledge and skill your employees must possess so you feel confident they can perform the job for which you employ them.
Why should my company have certified operators?
If your company rents cranes to other companies, many of them require certified
operators.  Many Insurance companies give a good discount to companies with
certified operators.
Does OSHA require operators to be certified?
No, but all operators must meet the ASME/ANSI Standards B30.5 and it
requires operators to be tested in 3 different areas.
How can your operators be certified?
The National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO or CCO)
has a nation wide program that meets all the OSHA and ASME/ANSI requirements.
What other reasons would my company have to certify operators?
It is required in some states and some cities.
Is there a testing program for Tower Cranes?
No, but KC Training Technology Inc. offers a test and training for tower
cranes that will meet the OSHA and ASME/ANSI Standards of Requirements
in B30.3
Does KC Training Technology offer other ASME/ANSI training?
Yes, we offer training from B30.1 to B30.25.
Does KC Training Technology Inc. offer other Training and Certification?

and forklift operators.
